Den Helder
Fort Westoever

Entering Den Helder over the N250 you can find on the left an old Dutch fort from the 19th century.

Just before you will enter the fort there is a KSS ( Kabel Schalt Stelle, or communication bunker) with nice camouflage on it. In the fort is an air-raid shelter to find. Further on you can see some of the old fortifications. Some nice electric generators and a switch station for the Naval activities in Den Helder are still present and still working (not operative) in the main building.
